DNG John O'Brien

Bought my home through this agent in 2021 and they couldn’t have been more helpful. As soon as the deal is done, though, don’t expect much from them. They will rarely return calls or emails - which is unprofessional and rude. We had some issues with the house and couldn’t track down the developer. The agent couldn’t give me his contact details. Fair enough, given data protection, etc. Eventually John O’Brien himself called me to say I wouldn’t be getting help from the developer. I asked him to send me an email detailing what he’d just said to me. Again, he said “I’d have to clear that with the developer”. I pointed out that the developer shouldn’t have to clear what John himself had told me over the phone. I wanted what was said in writing. That was over a month ago now, and I’m still waiting for the email. Always willing to bend over backwards, and then they get their commission out of you.

Our experience of both letting and purchasing via John O'Brien was a very positive one. Helps when you're also dealing with a good landlord and vendor, but John and the team had always been responsive, helpful, professional and fair.

I was looking at a property, hoping to view. Very excited about this particular one. after calling and emailing a couple of times, I received a call from John this morning. He advised of the current offer, and that the sale was closing today. A viewing wasn't possible, because he already showed many other people (that didn't include me), there was an offer on it, and its closing today. If I was selling, I'd look elsewhere. He had no interest in getting the best price for the person he was selling for, viewing wasn't an option today. I would have happily beat the current offer on this particular property, but I suppose that would have meant some work on the agents part.

We dealt with both John and Grainne on the recent purchase of our new home. Their service was impeccable from start to finish. Both went above and beyond during unusual times to accommodate our requests. Thank you!!
