We had a great experience with Hooke & MacDonald during the purchase of our new home. A special thank you to Leah, who was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is a genuinely kind, helpful, and professional person who was always available to answer our questions and guide us through the process. For anyone reading reviews, it’s important to understand that when buying a new build home, construction timelines can sometimes change for many reasons. Sales agents have no reason to delay the process, and in our experience Leah was always supportive and transparent. We truly recommend Hooke & MacDonald. Many negative reviews simply come from people who underestimate the patience and discipline required when purchasing a newly built home or any home. Thank you again, Leah, for all your help!

Not a good experience overall. Was promised I would be moving into my new home 4 months after putting a holding fee , a year later and still not in. If you try to contact the team it’s hard to get a response. Complete lack of urgency and professionalism. They made no effort to expedite the process for us and didn’t care once our money was received I would not recommend

So I viewed a property at Jameson Orchard in Malahide, lovely property just a shame that I was dealt with by a very unprofessional agent. On the 5/2/26 I sent all my documents across to them, followed up by a call to confirm it was sent to the right place. Monday 9/2 at 16:19 pm called spoke to a Katie who said you’ll hear from us this week latest end of the week in regards to your application, 11/2 at 12:43 pm called spoke same Katie again who told me to wait again till the end of the week. Friday comes today 13/2 called and was put through to Evan who decides to tell me that the property was let before my application even came through to them. So I have wasted multiple calls, not viewing other properties and waiting on something that was never going to happen whilst the property at Jameson Orchard was still active on the websites just to be told it was let some time ago. Very unprofessional behaviour and not acceptable! Hopefully they won’t mess people around in the future. Romal G

Poorly organised. Was offered a viewing on the next working day at 9:30. I rang up to say I was confused about how they expect those working in a professional setting to attend without calling in sick. Thankfully Joe Keating was kind enough to explain that those were the hours they worked and there is always demand. Great to know Hooke McDonald is taking full liberties during the housing crisis to just do whatever.
